ARE YOU READY?

Set in the fictional city of Gale, ZEPHYR-39 focuses on a young girl named Yoko, who has entered the city’s semi-annual fighting tournament to prove her strength and win the prize money. Armed with her signature Wind Burst style, can she overcome the opponents that stand between her and her ideal easygoing life?

What is ZEPHYR-39?

ZEPHYR-39 is a fast paced 3D-2D hybrid fighting game with a Y2K style Urban Fantasy aesthetic, mixing the movement-based defense of typical 3D fighters with the high-flying explosive action of 2D Anime Fighters and Character Action games. At the press of a button, swap between the freeflowing ground movement of 3D weapon fighters and the high flying vertical action of anime fighters, all within one game!

Characters

The two characters in the current version are Yoko and Kotetsu, a spunky catgirl street fighter (heh) and her quiet martial artist counterpart. Their movesets right now are mostly the same, but you may notice that Kotetsu is somewhat slower, but deals more damage overall than Yoko. In future versions these two will diverge as they grow as fighters, but for now I hope you have fun with them as they are!

Cool idea, I look forward to future iterations :p

Thank you! I'm certainly looking forward to working more on them~

The lock on system is actually pretty neat, I can't remember if I've ever seen a game that does it like this! Respectfully taking notes...

It's an idea I've had kicking around in my head ever since I was trying to come up with ideas for my other game's story mode and remembered how DMC and Kingdom Hearts use their Lock-On nfunctions. I'm glad people are enjoying it, I think there's a lot of room to experiment with this setup!
